Dear friends, I'm starting this newsletter as an attempt to stay in touch during the course of my travels. I realize that I don't have much of a track record in this area, but as the song goes, "Everything Must Change", so please bear with me while I make this effort. I am writing this message from the Sunset club room of the cruise ship Serenity. We are sailing off the coast of Scotland and at 9:30 pm there is a beautiful sunset. It's interesting that even after the sun is set, the sky will stay lit for another hour or so. The reason I am here is because I'm traveling with the great song stylist/diva Dionne Warwick. We are at the midpoint of a month long tour. Tomorrow we will leave the ship and travel to Germany. After that we will skip around Europe for a while before we return home. As far as traveling goes, this ship is certainly a high point, especially being it's inaugural cruise. The scenery is gorgeous and the food is absolutely delicious. Definitely the high life. I have to say that I miss the family though. That's the down side to traveling. You never really get used to it, but it's part of the job so I do my best. I'm not sure when I will be performing with my group, hopefully soon. I'm working on something for August and September. I will keep you posted. In the meantime keep listening to the CD, there is a lot of heart and soul in that one. Listen to KKJZ 88.1 because I know they are playing it, and if you don't hear it, call them up and ask for it.
